The Doctoral Symposium on Arabic Language Automatic Processing (JDILA) is a scientific event organized by the Arabic Language Engineering Society in Morocco (ALESM) at one of the tertiary education and research establishments in Morocco every two years (as far as possible).
The first symposium took place at Mohammadia School of Engineering (EMI) in Rabat in June 2014.
JDILA event is co-hosted in collaboration with the association’s academic partners.
Its exclusive area of interest is Arabic Language Automatic Processing (TALA), at large, and the various axes falling within the topic.

The Laboratory for Linguistics, Language Planning and Terminology at the Institute for Studies and Research on Arabization (IERA) and the Arabic Language Engineering Society in Morocco (ALESM) organize the Fourth Doctoral Symposium on “Arabic Language Engineering JDILA’2021” on April 6-7, 2021 at the Institute for Studies and Research on Arabization.
The purpose of this event is to encourage Doctoral Students working on Arabic Natural Language Processing (Arabic NLP) to share their research results with other researchers.

Goals

The Symposium aims to achieve the following objectives:

• Creation of a platform for communication, discussion and scientific exchange between doctoral students and specialists ;
• Presentation of theoretical work and practical achievements in Arabic NLP ;
• Establishment of a space for collaboration among Moroccan researchers in terms of projects and research subjects falling within the field of Arabic NLP ;
• Raising awareness among officials and various social and economic actors about the importance of scientific research in the field of Arabic NLP and its contribution, as an essential factor, to the economic development.
