- ICALP 2017 -

On behalf of The National School of Applied Sciences in Fez (ENSA-USMBA) and the Arabic Language Engineering Society in Morocco (ALESM),
the organizing committee would like to welcome you to The Sixth International Conference on Arabic Language Processing (ICALP'17).
ICALP (ex-CITALA) is aimed to become one of the leading international conferences in the field of Arabic Language Processing and related applications.
ICALP (ex-CITALA) is a series of international conferences which will be held once every two years. Regularly each ICALP (ex-CITALA) Conference edition attracts more authors from different countries in different continents thanks to the success of the preceding editions.
After the great success of the Fifth Editions, which was held in Oujda Morocco (November2014), the next year 2017 event will be held in Fez ,Morocco (October 11th-12th 2017).
The ICALP’17 conference will provide excellent opportunities to the scientists, researchers, industrial engineers, and university students to present their research achievements and to develop new collaborations and partnerships with experts in the field.
In ICALP’17, three Keynote Speakers will share their expertise with the aim of exposing participants to a wide spectrum of research and applications, to foster cross-pollination of research ideas and interests in Arabic Language Processing and related applications.
We thank you for your participation and contribution to the Sixth International Conference on Arabic Language Processing (ICALP'17), We wish you a very successful and enjoyable experience.
- Creating a space for communication, discussion, and scientific exchanges between specialists in Arabic NLP and related Arabic Text Mining Applications.
- Sharing the latest scientific results concerning Language Resources and Computer Applications.
- Presenting Theoretical and Practical Achievements proposed by Researchers in the field of Arabic NLP.
- Establishing a space for collaboration between researchers on common research topics and projects related to the area of Arabic NLP.
- Making the leaders and economic actors aware of the importance that can provide the promoting of scientific research in the area of Arabic NLP.
Researchers and industrials are invited to submit unpublished papers (in English) to ICALP'17. Theoretical,
conceptual and a survey of the state of the art can be submitted. All papers will be reviewed on the basis of
relevance, originality, importance and clarity.
All Accepted, Registred and Presented papers will be published in the
Springer-Verlag Conference Proceedings: "Communications in Computer and Information Science" (CCIS Volume)
CCIS proceedings are included in the CCIS electronic book series hosted in the
SpringerLink digital library
CCIS is abstracted/indexed in :
Scopus,
DBLP,
Google Scholar,
EI-Compendex,
Mathematical Reviews,
SCImago.
CCIS volumes are also submitted for the inclusion in ISI Proceedings.
Extended version of the presented paper in the ICALP'17 conference will be considered for possible publication in a Special Issues of reputed indexed journal (In progress, to be confirmed):
At least one of the authors will be required to register and attend the ICALP'17 Conference to present the paper in order to include the paper in the conference proceedings.
Please keep in mind that you are expected to extend and revise your paper by including at least 40% new material, which may include expanding the methodology and/or some more extensive test results on new datasets.
Please note than adding more background and related work is very welcome and expected, but does not count towards the intended 40% extra material.
You should also change the abstract and the title of your paper to reflect the extended coverage.
