On behalf of the National School of Computer Science and System Analysis (ENSIAS) and in collaboration with the Association of Arabic Language Engineering in Morocco (ALESM), the organizing committee is delighted to announce that the 8th International Conference on Arabic Language Processing (ICALP'23) will be held on 19 - 20 April, 2024 in Rabat, Morocco.
ICALP is a series of regular international conferences that aim to attract quality scientific contributions and original papers in the field of Arabic language processing.
The conference serves as an optimal space in which researchers, language enthusiasts, industrial engineers, and university students can showcase their research achievements, strengthen collaboration, and foster partnerships.

ICALP is a series of international conferences which will be held once every two years :

  • ICALP 2017: October 11th - 12th 2017, Fez, Morocco
  • CITALA 2014: November 26th - 27th 2014, Oujda, Morocco
  • CITALA 2012: May 2nd - 3rd 2012, Rabat, Morocco
  • CITALA 2009: May 4th - 5th 2009, Rabat, Morocco
  • CITALA 2007: Juin 18th - 19th 2007, Rabat, Morocco
  • JETALA 2006: Juin 5th - 7th Juin 2006, Rabat, Morocco

    After the great success of the seventh edition, which was held in Nancy, France (October 2019), the 2023 edition event will be held in Rabat ,Morocco (April 19th-20th 2024).
    The ICALP’23 conference provides excellent opportunities to the scientists, researchers, industrial engineers, and university students to present their research and to develop new collaborations and partnerships with experts in the field.
    In this year’s edition, quality talks will be given by five keynote speakers. The goal is to inform as many interested researchers as possible about the latest research results, mechanisms, applications, resources, and related programs in computational linguistics.
    We look forward to meeting you all at the 8th International Conference on Arabic Language Processing (ICALP'23) and wish you a successful and highly enjoyable experience.

    Goals

    The Conference aims to achieve the following objectives:

    • Creating a space for communication, discussion, and scientific exchanges between specialists in Arabic NLP and related Arabic Text Mining Applications ;
    • Sharing the latest scientific results concerning Language Resources and Computer Applications ;
    • Presenting theoretical and practical achievements proposed by researchers in the field of Arabic NLP;
    • Establishing a space for collaboration between researchers on common research topics and projects related to the area of Arabic NLP;
    • Making leaders and economic actors aware of the importance that can provide the promoting of scientific research in the area of Arabic NLP.

    Call for Papers

    The International Conference on Arabic Language Processing ICALP2023 aims to be one of the most important and leading conference on Arabic NLP: all branches of NLP related to Arabic or Semitic languages are welcomed. The conference focuses on all approaches from theoretical models to industrial applications. ICALP2023 will be held at ENSIAS (The National Higher School of Computer Science and Systems Analysis). We look forward to welcoming you to a scientifically inspiring event and we hope that ICALP2023 will be a highly positive scientific experience for all the participants. Our keynote speakers will shed light on a wide spectrum of research and applications as well as promote cross-pollination of research ideas and interests in Arabic Language Processing and related applications.
    Participants are invited to submit original communications in all the areas of Arabic NLP. Few topics of the conference are given below.

    Papers must be prepared using Springer Template and submitted electronically in PDF format via the CMT system (Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit). To submit your paper please, click on the link below:

    Each paper will be reviewed by at least three members of the program committee. Acceptance decisions will take into consideration the novelty of the paper, its technical depth, practical or theoretical impact, and the presentation provided.

    Extended versions of high quality papers presented at the conference will be subject to a second evaluation for their possible publication in indexed Journals.
